GETTING AROUND THE ISLAND
It is recommended that you rent a car if you want to explore all that Kauai has to offer. Lihue airport has all of the national car rental vendors and you can get great deals online via Priceline, Expedia or your favorite travel site. Gas prices tend to be higher than the mainland, so do plan for the sticker shock. Other options include scooter or bicycle rentals from Kruzin' Kauai. We will be staying at the Plantation Hale from Wednesday, September 26 - October 3, 2007. We hope that most of you will book at this location as well. We have stayed here twice before and find that it has a nice balance between luxurious ammenities and budget-friendliness. It has three pools and two hot tubs, and on more than one occassion we have found ourselves completely alone in the pool areas. It also has A/C which several other options in the area do not offer. The property is not "beach front", but the beach is about a two minute walk away. For those of you who desire 4 or 5 star accomodations, two bedroom options or beach front views, the resorts listed below are in close proximity to the Plantation Hale as well as the wedding day locations at the Kauai Coast Resort.
